The Registered Nurse has the responsibility for the following as a Circulating RN: Completes all required patient assessments timely and accurately; completes all documentation accurately and timely; directs and assists non-licensed personnel; provides appropriate comfort measures and pain management; demonstrates knowledge of all wellness and disease management issues; administers medications accurately and timely; demonstrates competency in patient care procedures and use of pertinent equipment and supplies; executes accurate order entry, transcription of orders and signs off orders; provides patient education; initiates and up dates patient plan of care; and promotes and assures patient safety.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Current State of Illinois registered nurse license, current CPR certification. 1 year of hospital experience required or previous circulating experience. |

Must be knowledgeable in sterilization of instruments and maintaining sterilization throughout a surgical procedure. |
